I genuinely appreciate you sharing your poem with me. It’s clear that you’re diving deep into the concept of “ordinary,” and I admire the way you’re not accepting it at face value. There’s so much richness to explore here, especially in how the term can sometimes downplay or conceal true beauty.
Your thoughtful questioning whether there is such a thing as Ordinary Beauty, or if it’s simply Beauty seen as “Ordinary” resonates with me on a powerful level. It challenges the notion that beauty must be rare or widely celebrated; instead, it beautifully highlights that there can be profound beauty in the everyday moments and the unnoticed aspects of life. Thank you for inviting me into this reflection. 🔮💜
Hi, found your site through Dawn, thanks for the inspiration here is my contribution ❤️https://poetisatinta.wordpress.com/2025/07/22/it-begins/
Welcome You write like someone who knows that the veil doesn’t just thin it listens.
And this? This is what it hears.
Witch-right, soul-deep you’re home here.
🖤
Oh, Ange, I adore this! 💞💞💞
CALLING ALL GIRLS "ORDINARY"?
If Beauty is found in the "Ordinary"
Why signify "Ordinary" Ordinary?
Is there Ordinary Beauty,
Or just Beauty, that is "Ordinary"?
Why claim Beauty to behold
If the non-event, being "Ordinary"
Is a disclaimer to telling
what is needed to be known.
Any thoughts? That fourth line of the first stanza says pretty much the same as the third, I think. Not really getting it.
Kind regards Andrew

Hi, Diane,
To quote a song by the Carpenters "There is wonder in most everything I see!"
Thanks for your response, Andrew
Another lovely prompt, Dianne!

"It's about making time for the parts of you that need time, not applause." Powerful - I ended up writing from that...
Find me in the garden
Crouched to pick the low raspberries
Dwarfed by zinnias tall as sunflowers
Find me in the cool
The shadow of thriving plants
Stems reach for the sun
Sheltering me through their growth
Not my moment to bloom
oh my God, I love this is so visual thank you for sharing 💜
